How the programs connect

Participate. Prepare. Thrive.

PARTICIPATE: Create meaningful ways for young people to enter, continue, and grow through sport.

PREPARE: Reduce practical barriers that can affect readiness and the quality of the sports experience.

THRIVE: Strengthen coaching decisions and environments so youth development continues beyond access alone.

Participation creates the opening.

Southwest Suns Basketball and Get Her in the Game focus on helping young people access meaningful sports experiences and development pathways. The programs are distinct, but both begin with the same question: how do we create a real opportunity to participate and grow?

Preparation helps opportunity become usable.

Game Day Fuel addresses one practical part of readiness by helping eligible cohorts reduce barriers to appropriate pre-competition fuel. The program is built around Southwest Suns standards and delivery—not around a single team or fundraising campaign.

Coaching shapes what participation becomes.

Coach Development gives individual coaches free ways to practice the work. Season Under Pressure provides realistic decision practice across youth-sports situations. Coach Board helps basketball coaches draw, sequence, save, reopen, and share plays. Organizations can separately engage Southwest Suns for facilitation, implementation, adaptation, measurement, and custom application.
