Program details
Access is the beginning, not the finish line.
A young person cannot benefit from the challenge, belonging, skill development, and relationships of sport without a real path to participate. Get Her in the Game focuses first on opening that path, then on helping participation connect to development rather than becoming a one-time transaction.
A program for girls seeking approved sports opportunities.
Eligibility depends on the specific opportunity, geography, age or grade range, available capacity, and any approved access-support criteria. Southwest Suns does not assume that every participant faces the same financial circumstances.
Support follows the program—not an individual donor-to-child match.
Southwest Suns identifies or operates approved participation opportunities, establishes the applicable eligibility and support process, and determines how program resources are used. When financial assistance is part of an approved opportunity, Southwest Suns manages that assistance within the program rather than asking donors to select or sponsor individual girls.
Get in. Stay engaged. Keep developing.
The program is designed around participation that can lead to skill-building, confidence, team experience, responsibility, and continued engagement in sport. The exact development pathway depends on the approved opportunity and should be described only when its delivery model is confirmed.
How to ask about participation
- Enrollment is currently closed. Contact Southwest Suns with questions about future approved opportunities.
- If an opportunity opens, review its eligibility and instructions before submitting the listed inquiry or registration. Southwest Suns confirms any placement or assistance decision.
What we measure
Depending on the approved opportunity, Southwest Suns may report verified participation, attendance, retention, completed activities, participant feedback, progression, and other measures tied to actual delivery. We distinguish participation counts from longer-term outcomes.
Keep girls’ participation moving forward.
